Priscilla Hummel

Priscilla Hummel (Producer, Extended Stay) is the founder and producing artistic director of Walking on Water (WoW) Productions and is delighted to see the company succeed in its ninth season! Prior to returning to her old stomping ground here in Ithaca in 2016, Priscilla spent nine years in Chicago as a director, choreographer, education director, teaching artist, on-camera actor, and dancer. Shortly after founding WoW, Priscilla directed and choreographed the company’s inaugural production of Godspell followed by The Fantasticks, Katrina, A New Musical, A Virtual Cabaret, parts 2 and 3 of Comfort Food, Now. Here. This., The World According to Snoopy!!!, and recently choreographed The Sisters Fitz&Startz: Cook with Kids in collaboration with Fitz&Startz Productions. Other local directing/choreography credits include Blunted Daggers (Ithaca College), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Wells College), and many youth theatre productions at Hangar Theatre and Lansing High School. Priscilla is also the resident intimacy director for the Center for Theatre and Dance at Ithaca College and works with several local theatre companies as an intimacy director. Priscilla holds an MFA in Acting with a Directing concentration from Regent University and a BA in Theatre with a Dance minor from Brenau University. She is an assistant professor of acting at Ithaca College and an associate union member of SDC (Stage Directors and Choreographers Society). She is incredibly grateful to be a part of this new initiative to bring more new works of theatre to Tompkins County and the Finger Lakes region!
